ApoCATlypse by team 17 for Sheridan College's 2018 Sprint Week
Team 17: Alex Vaucrosson, Baker Omar Albach, Eyan Howlader, Jeremy Leung, Kimi Yip, and Reilly Mackay.
ApoCATlypse is an alternative control game that is played by shooting foam balls with a pump gun at cat zombie targets, there are three targets in total (one for each lane). The game's physical assets are connected to a Makey Makey kit to register player input.
Throughout the project my primary role was organizing the team's vision and planning out the pipeline to finish the game. Ideally with enough time to play test and polish before its submission was due. I accomplished this through time efficient meetings, setting realistic goals, facilitating communication between team members and delegating tasks when necessary. Secondary to these responsibilities I assisted where I could whether it was input devices such as the targeting boards or giving constructive feedback to a team member when it was requested.
Chaos Surge by team 17 for Sheridan College's 2019 Sprint Week
Team 17: Alex Vaucrosson, Mikail Khan, Pamela Payad
Chaos Surge is a demake board game of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, created by team 17 for Sheridan College's 2019 Sprint Week. The demake was designed with exploration and cooperation as the core gameplay experience. To win the game the players have to defeat Ganos before the sixth Chaos Surge is drawn.
I designed the core gameplay systems for this game.
Coordination: Players can try to fight Ganos at any time but to actually stand a chance at defeating him they'll need to explore, trade, and coordinate to collect hearts and better gear.
Agency: However Ganos and his creatures grow stronger as more Chaos Surges are drawn.
Risk and Reward: Hearts are resources for surviving combat and traveling through difficult terrain tiles. Gear cards are acquired by defeating monsters or discovering treasure under flippable tiles.
Discovery: These flippable tiles don't just hide treasure they also conceal monster ambushes and the shrines. Shrines increase a player's maximum number of hearts, there are four in total.

The Knight Arcanist by Alex Vaucrosson
The Knight Arcanist is a character class created for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. This class was designed to feel like it belonged in the D&D 5e system alongside the official playable classes, both mechanically and thematically. This document was written with a consistent vocabulary, font, and font sizing as Wizards of the Coast to be as legible as the official source material. This current edition of the class is the result of an ongoing iterative process that involves playtesting, and incorporating feedback.
